AV Administrator, Events & Experiences

Design, deploy, maintain, and support audio-visual systems for collaboration spaces and high-profile events. The role requires enterprise AV troubleshooting experience, Q-SYS certification, and flexibility for varied shifts, weekends, and limited travel.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement tailored audio-visual solutions for collaboration, presentation, and event spaces.
  • Partner with construction, Spaceport, and design teams to build immersive spaces with state-of-the-art AV systems.
  • Provide technical support for launches, gatherings, concerts, and other high-profile events.
  • Ensure reliable operation of AV systems, lighting, and automation.
  • Stay current with AV technologies, industry standards, and innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 2+ years of professional experience building, deploying, and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, software, and IP networks in a mid-to-large enterprise AV-support environment.
  • Q-SYS Level 1 Certification.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and varying shifts; travel under 20%.
  • Ability to pass a required background check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with construction CAD drawings, power/data line drawings, signal flow, and AV concepts.
  • Q-SYS Level 2 and Control Certifications.
  • Experience with Dante and AES67 protocols.
  • Knowledge of live-show and installed AV systems, including audio, video, broadcast, lighting, lasers, and facility infrastructure.
  • Experience with sACN and Art-Net lighting-control systems.
  • LED wall installation experience.
  • Experience splicing and terminating different cable types.
  • Sound and acoustic design or engineering experience.
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Working knowledge of video-conferencing solutions and support.

Compensation

  • Base salary: $115,000–$135,000 USD annually.
