GRC Program Manager, Product and Customer Trust

Responsibilities

  • Operate OpenAI’s product assurance program end to end, from product development through continuous post-launch monitoring.
  • Govern Safety, Deployment, Security, and Legal reviews to surface product risks and design scalable mitigations.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration, accountability, and partner-team alignment across the product lifecycle.
  • Build controls and low-friction processes in infrastructure, developer workflows, CI/CD, and launch tooling.
  • Provide guidance, guardrails, and responsible friction to help teams design and launch safely.
  • Map security, privacy, and compliance claims to verifiable controls.
  • Influence partner roadmaps and determine when to build, influence, or maintain assurance capabilities.
  • Apply sound judgment in launch reviews, technical assurance trade-offs, and risk-posture decisions.

Requirements

  • Experience in technical product lifecycle assurance and security and privacy compliance in high-velocity development environments.
  • Experience building technical controls, metrics, monitoring tools, CI/CD tooling, risk signals, and dashboards.
  • Ability to run an end-to-end, cross-functional product assurance program.
  • Experience shifting assurance left through just-in-time controls, guidance, and developer guardrails.
  • Strong technical cross-functional leadership and ability to influence partner teams.
  • Sound judgment in high-stakes product launch risk and control decisions.
  • Comfort with Kubernetes architectures, complex dataflows, data maps, and database schemas.
  • Ability to work with Privacy Engineering, Data Science, Product, Security, Legal, and Engineering teams.
