Systems, Senior Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of highly technical operators responsible for systems, automation, and operational infrastructure powering Brex’s Operations organization.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Finance, and Operations leaders to solve complex business problems across Risk, Compliance, Payment Operations, Servicing, and Banking Operations.
• Define long-term vision for operational scale while directly driving execution on high-impact systems, workflows, and AI-powered tooling.
• Build scalable systems, workflows, and decision infrastructure; transform traditional operations into AI-native organizations through intelligent automation, agentic workflows, and internal platforms.
• Answer foundational questions on redesigning operational work in an AI-native world, increasing efficiency while maintaining customer experience and risk controls, and creating leverage across scaling teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years leading Systems, BizOps, TechOps, Internal Platform, or Operational Excellence teams in high-growth environments.
• Proven track record building and scaling internal systems, workflows, and operational tooling with measurable business impact.
• Experience leveraging AI/LLM technologies to automate workflows, improve efficiency, or build internal tools and agentic systems.
• Strong understanding of operational tooling ecosystems (Salesforce, Retool, workflow automation tools, data infrastructure).
• Technical fluency with systems architecture and automation development (JavaScript, Python, SQL, APIs, AI tooling).
• Strong analytical mindset using data to inform strategy, prioritize investments, and measure outcomes.
• Ability to operate effectively across cross-functional environments, align technical solutions with business strategy, and navigate ambiguity.
• Strong ownership mentality with bias toward action and hands-on execution when needed.
