Responsibilities
- Own the general ledger and monthly, quarterly, and annual close under US GAAP, including revenue recognition, accruals, capitalization, reconciliations, policies, and internal controls.
- Manage US federal and state corporate tax and international tax, including quarterly estimates, filings, cross-border entity structures, and transfer pricing.
- Coordinate external tax advisors and monitor regulatory changes.
- Own payroll compliance, payroll taxes, filings, and the PEO/provider relationship.
- Lead audits and financial reporting, including annual financial statements, audit preparation, investor updates, due diligence, management dashboards, and variance analysis.
- Build and automate scalable accounting, billing, payroll, and reporting processes.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of experience, including Big Four or public accounting experience.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP and financial-statement preparation.
- Hands-on US and international tax experience across multi-entity structures.
- Experience with complex reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Ability to operate across bookkeeping, technical accounting, tax, audits, reporting, and process automation.

- Experience standing up a finance function from scratch.
- Experience using AI tools to automate finance workflows and reduce manual work and errors.
