Build and ship AI-powered web products end to end, translating emerging model capabilities into user experiences while owning architecture and collaborating with research, product, and design teams. Requires 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship full-stack features across web applications, including backend services, APIs, and production-quality frontend interfaces.
- Prototype with emerging model capabilities and turn research results into usable product experiences.
- Take product ideas from concept to live user-facing surfaces and iterate based on feedback.
- Partner with researchers to understand model behavior, constraints, and capabilities and translate them into product decisions.
- Collaborate with design and product partners to define what to build.
- Own technical architecture, including scalability, reliability, and maintainability decisions.
- Help establish engineering practices and technical standards for a growing product engineering team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated ownership across frontend and backend systems.
- Strong track record shipping production web applications end to end, from data model and API design through polished user interfaces.
- Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
- Ability to make pragmatic technical tradeoffs while managing technical risk.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience building products on large language models or other frontier AI systems.
- Strong product sense and interest in determining what to build.
- Experience as an early or founding startup engineer, or leading a product from 0 to 1.
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and interface design and usability.
- Experience with distributed systems, infrastructure, or backend performance at scale.
- Experience collaborating closely with researchers, designers, and other non-engineering partners.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary: $300,000–$475,000 USD.
