About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build a new financial services application within ChatGPT Work and Codex, creating AI-native experiences for company research, financial analysis, document review, and professional work products.
  • Develop product experiences around enterprise memory that learn from organizational knowledge, workflows, and context.
  • Develop APIs, services, and integrations connecting user experiences with financial data providers, enterprise systems, and OpenAI models.
  • Partner with product and design to turn ambiguous customer problems into polished, useful, and reliable products.
  • Work directly with financial institutions to understand needs, support deployments, and translate feedback into product improvements.
  • Collaborate with research, security, infrastructure, and engineering teams to take capabilities from prototype to scaled production.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production software across the stack.
  • Expertise in TypeScript, React, and modern web technologies.
  • Strong experience building backend services in Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
  • Experience designing complex product interfaces, APIs, and integrations as a cohesive user experience.
  • Strong product judgment and ability to turn ambiguous customer problems into practical, well-engineered solutions.
  • Ability to work across the stack and organizational boundaries.
  • High standards for usability, reliability, security, and performance, particularly in enterprise or other high-trust environments.
  • Interest in applying AI model capabilities to complex professional work.

Nice to Have

  • Direct AI/ML or financial services experience.
  • Experience as a founder, early startup engineer, or engineer who helped build a new product from scratch.

Compensation

  • Annual salary: $293,000–$325,000.
