Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Partner with product management, QA, and architecture teams to deliver high-quality software on time and within scope.
• Oversee scalable applications and APIs built primarily in Java and Python.
• Design, build, and maintain ETL and data-integration pipelines.
• Mentor and develop software engineers and foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure engineering best practices for code quality, testing, security, and deployment.
• Drive sprint planning, resource allocation, and performance reviews.
• Contribute to technical strategy, architecture discussions, and long-term planning.
• Use modern DevOps tools, including Docker, to support development and deployment.
• Own production operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
• Work directly with clients to gather requirements, propose solutions, manage execution, and oversee delivery through post-release support.
• Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and independently drive projects to completion.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience and 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
• Proficiency in Java and strong working experience with Python.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong experience with ETL processes, data integration, and data pipeline development.
• Working knowledge of Docker and modern CI/CD practices.
• Experience managing software projects in an Agile environment.
• Understanding of software architecture, performance optimization, secure coding, and production operations.
• Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, and highly available production environments.
• Ability to manage requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and client communication.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, client-facing, and conflict-resolution skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience managing full-stack teams.
• Background in fintech, enterprise SaaS, or regulated technology environments.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure.

• Compensation: $140,000–$160,000.
