About the role
Responsibilities
Partner closely with finance teams to identify, assess and articulate the financial impact(s) of business changes
Improve visibility for finance leadership into platform accounts and initiatives
Partner with the platform SOX team to ensure risk identification and control mitigations are appropriate - design, implement, document and review controls to ensure they are functioning properly
Develop relationships with key stakeholders in payments, compliance, legal and other partner and finance teams
Lead the Revenue Operations team, and ensure all processes meet the close deadline
Teach and mentor staff in accounting and finance on issues, including revenue technical accounting, GAAP guidance and best practices for documentation, partner engagement and operational processes
Act as subject matter expert that partners seek out for guidance and insight
Own key areas: Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, Bad Debt, Gift Card program and Collections
Champion the team's AI enablement agenda by identifying, piloting, and scaling AI use cases across close, reporting, and reconciliation processes
Design and maintain appropriate human-review checkpoints for all AI-assisted workflows, ensuring outputs meet audit-ready standards and SOX control requirements
Partner cross-functionally with Finance leadership, BizTech, and the broader AI enablement initiative to develop accounting-specific use cases, training, and governance frameworks
Requirements
12+ years of finance and accounting experience, including management level experience in a large multinational organization
6+ years of relevant industry experience (tech, payments, marketplace(s), hospitality) in a high growth environment
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
Proven track record of operationalizing technical accounting standards to satisfy business requirements
Experience with large-scale ERP (Oracle, SAP, Workday), monetization and billing systems
Polished communication skills and executive presence
Aptitude for collaboration and the ability to influence, mentor, and leverage the skills of others to achieve objectives
Proven ability to successfully manage complex initiatives with cross-functional ownership
Passion for and proven track record of training and developing team members
Proficient in MS Excel
Nice-to-Haves
CPA or equivalent international certification, with Big 4 accounting firm experience
Payments compliance and reconciliation system experience
Experience in SQL and Tableau
Compensation & Benefits
Base pay range: $192,000—$240,000 USD
