Mobile Phlebotomy

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative care and diagnostic services in patients’ homes.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection, diabetic foot screenings, diabetic retina imaging, ECGs, digital-stethoscope recordings, and other low-acuity services.
• Prepare supplies and PPE before appointments.
• Use mobile technology to access schedules, chart, and coordinate care through HIPAA-secure messaging.
• Collect relevant patient information and provide comfortable, patient-centered service.
• Label samples correctly and coordinate delivery to the appropriate laboratory or shipment facility.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of professionalism, integrity, accountability, confidentiality, quality, and compassion.
• Travel independently to patients’ homes using a personal vehicle.

Requirements

• Previous venipuncture experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Comfort with problem-solving in a changing environment.
• Technological proficiency with mobile devices and secure messaging applications.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current vehicle insurance.
• Ability to access and navigate patient homes, including climbing stairs and carrying up to 20 pounds while walking.
• Successful completion of a national background check, DMV check, and clinical license verification.
• State-required licensure or proof of training.
• National certification where state-level licensure is not required.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Proof of completion of the applicable course, program, or certification.
• Required vaccination or immunity documentation for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, TB, Influenza, and TDaP.

Compensation

• Annual salary range: $54,080–$62,400.
• Temporary, full-time position.
