About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide preventative care and diagnostic services in patients’ homes.
  • Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, diabetic foot screenings, diabetic retina exams, ECGs, digital-stethoscope recordings, and related low-acuity services.
  • Prepare supplies and PPE before appointments.
  • Navigate daily schedules using mobile technology and travel to patients’ homes.
  • Collect relevant patient information and create compassionate, welcoming patient interactions.
  • Render services comfortably and conveniently for patients.
  • Label collected samples correctly and coordinate delivery to the appropriate laboratory or shipping facility.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining exceptional quality.

Requirements

  • Previous venipuncture experience.
  • Professionalism, integrity, accountability, confidentiality, compassion, and strong customer-service skills.
  • Dependability, problem-solving ability, and willingness to think creatively in a changing environment.
  • Comfort using mobile devices for charting and HIPAA-secure messaging applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Interest in learning and advancing clinical skills.
  • Reliable personal transportation for travel to patients’ homes.
  • Ability to access and navigate patient homes, including climbing stairs and carrying up to 20 pounds while walking.
  • Successful national background check, DMV check, and valid clinical-license search.

Licensure and Certifications

  • State-required licensure and/or proof of training.
  • National certification where state-level licensure is not required.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Proof of completion of the applicable course, program, or certification.
  • Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.

Vaccination Requirements

Proof of vaccination or immunity is required for:

  • Measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Tuberculosis test within the past year
  • Annual influenza vaccination or signed exemption
  • Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (TDaP) within the past 10 years

Compensation

  • $54,080–$62,400 annually
  • This is a temporary, full-time position.
