About the job

Responsibilities

  • Lead event strategy and execution across industry events, vertical events, brokerage events, and Shepherd-hosted programs
  • Design and execute broker-facing dinners, roundtables, office activations, and one-of-one experiences for key distribution partners
  • Develop and execute Shepherd-specific events and activations that reflect the brand and stand out from traditional carrier programs
  • Manage executive social narratives for leadership (narrative arcs, posting calendars, prompts, writing, clipping, and publishing)
  • Oversee social and content output across company channels
  • Lead contractor and agency stack producing social, video, blog, and broker-facing nurture content
  • Drive lightweight production including outlines, scripts, looms, social copy, and basic video clipping
  • Steward the brand system across web, decks, broker collateral, event presence, swag, and careers pages
  • Partner with Marketing Engineer on web experiences
  • Manage PR/comms partner relationships, prioritize opportunities, and coordinate spokespeople
  • Manage six- to seven-figure budgets for events and production, negotiate with vendors, and ensure flawless logistics execution

Requirements

  • 5+ years across brand, events, field marketing, or experiential marketing in high-growth B2B, consumer, fintech, hospitality, or agency environments
  • Proven ownership of large-scale events and experiences from strategy and budget through execution and follow-up
  • Strong business sense for ROI and intuition around unquantifiable outcomes
  • Experience with multi-city roadshows, co-branded anchor events, athlete activations, and overlapping audiences
  • Strong creative taste and ability to judge work on-trend, on-brand, and high quality
  • Experience directing designers, photographers, videographers, and content agencies
  • Experience shaping and amplifying executive voices across social and earned channels
  • Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate prep, logistics, copy, and content production
  • Comfortable in tools like Figma and modern media/creative tooling for hands-on work when needed
