Responsibilities
- Collaborate with partners to tailor OlmoEarth models to specific applications across multiple domains.
- Understand business cases and requirements, train machine learning models, and deploy solutions at scale.
- Debug training loops and develop and deploy task-specific heads for encoders.
- Build repeatable processes and operational systems while prioritizing and organizing work effectively.
- Scan technical literature to inform technical discussions.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience deploying machine learning solutions across the full machine learning lifecycle.
- Fluency in PyTorch.
- Experience debugging machine learning training loops.
- Experience developing and deploying task-specific heads for encoders.
- Working experience with geospatial toolsets or platforms such as Google Earth Engine, QGIS, or ArcGIS.
- Familiarity with remote sensing, Earth observation, or environmental science.
- Strong written communication skills across formats and audiences.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong ownership, prioritization, organization, and self-directed learning skills.
- Ability to use AI tools effectively while critically evaluating their output.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in mission-driven, resource-constrained environments, including work with NGOs, government agencies, or research institutions.
- Experience with self-supervised machine learning methods, particularly for Vision Transformer (ViT) architectures.
- Comfort scanning technical literature.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $174,240–$261,360.
- Annual bonuses and participation in a long-term incentive plan.
