Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

  • Support program planning and scheduling activities, tracking milestones, deliverables, and dependencies across engineering teams.
  • Assist production planning and logistics engineers with material coordination, inventory tracking, and supply chain optimization.
  • Partner with prototype build teams to coordinate build readiness, track work orders, and update configuration documentation.
  • Collaborate with quality engineers to collect production data, perform defect analysis, and support corrective actions.
  • Participate in advanced manufacturing and process improvement projects to improve efficiency, repeatability, and product quality.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and metrics to communicate progress and insights to engineering and leadership teams.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Expected graduation in December 2027 or spring 2028.
  • Experience or coursework in project management, manufacturing systems, quality engineering, or supply chain logistics.
  • Familiarity with data visualization or process modeling tools.
  • Interest in aerospace, prototyping, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
