Fleet Reliability Intern

Supports the design, construction, testing, and deployment of electrical and mechanical ground station hardware while helping troubleshoot live site operations. Applicants must be enrolled in an engineering degree program and able to relocate for a summer internship.

Responsibilities

  • Own a ground station hardware project—from inception through design, production, and field deployment.
  • Build complex ground support equipment (GSE), wire harnesses, and GSE test setups.
  • Support critical site operations for customer-serving ground stations worldwide.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and urgently resolve operational issues.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers, mentors, technicians, management, and external companies to complete projects.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate-level program in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to relocate to Los Angeles, California, for a 12-week summer internship.
  • Ability to work professionally with engineers, management, technicians, and external companies.

Nice to have

  • GPA of 3.5 or above.
  • Experience outside the classroom designing, building, and testing complex electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Participation in competitions or leadership activities such as FSAE, rocket clubs, robotics clubs, IEEE, or college athletics.

Compensation

  • $74,880 annualized salary.
