Director, Engineering - Platform
Lead multiple platform engineering teams building the foundational infrastructure for cybersecurity SaaS products. Drive technical strategy, AI tooling adoption, hiring, and manager development in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities
- Deliver performant, scalable products iteratively, helping teams balance incremental customer value delivery with long-term product evolution
- Drive the technical roadmap and best practices for the product platform to enable scalability for rapid growth and increased user demand
- Innovate new uses for AI development tooling and tune current use to be more efficient over time
- Attract, recruit, and retain top engineering talent
- Hire and coach engineering managers to build and enable great teams
- Set clear expectations with leaders, provide regular feedback, and conduct regular performance conversations to foster a high-performing engineering team
- Clearly measure engineering performance to make necessary adjustments to team structure and/or processes to increase throughput and efficiency
- Identify opportunities and implement improvements to both the product and engineering practices and processes to optimize efficiency, quality, and time-to-market
- Partner with other engineering leaders, product leaders, and architects to ensure teams and technology are in sync and meet customer needs
- Collaborate with Architecture, Product Management, and Threat Operations teams to integrate their expertise and needs into products
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership building SaaS products in a modern SaaS environment
- 5+ years of experience at the director level or higher
- Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar AI development tools
- Experience and knowledge of best practices for scalable delivery, core platform systems, site reliability engineering, and developer experience
- Experience developing, evolving, and maintaining high-volume, scalable solutions
- Deep understanding of organizing engineering teams to deliver customer value iteratively
- Skilled at hiring, building teams, leading, and coaching managers, and performance management
- Demonstrated success working with architecture and product management leaders to develop and execute a shared product and technical vision
- Experience in a fully remote environment

- $240,000 to $300,000 base with bonus and equity
