About the role

What you’ll do

  • Build and grow the Mid-Market Marketing team by designing the right organization structure, hiring top talent, and investing in mentorship and professional development.
  • Set the vision and marketing strategy for Mid-Market advertisers at Pinterest, in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead and execute key Mid-Market marketing workstreams, including building a foundational lifecycle engine (email, in-product education, business site, etc.) and running marketing experiments to drive retention and revenue growth; extend successful programs to priority SMB segments.
  • Design, launch, and scale account-based marketing programs for priority Mid-Market accounts, partnering with Sales, PMM, and Growth Marketing on audience selection, messaging, and measurement.
  • Champion a test-and-learn mindset, encouraging experiments, quick iteration, and scaling what works.
  • Build tracking mechanisms for accountability and integrate velocity by removing obstacles to focus on high-quality results.
  • Partner with and influence executive teams and senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, PMM, Growth Marketing, and Sales to align on strategy, integrated plans, and ways of working.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate efficiency, reduce production timelines, and free up bandwidth for strategic work.
  • Utilize AI-assisted analytics and reporting to surface insights, identify trends, and make faster decisions on resource investment.
  • Build a team culture that treats AI as a core working partner in planning and measurement.

What we’re looking for

  • 15+ years of experience in business marketing, with at least 10 years specifically in Mid-Market or SMB Marketing.
  • Proven experience building teams, capabilities, and programs from the ground up, ideally at a similar or competitive platform.
  • Mastery in influencing actions, behaviors, or perspectives of others without direct authority.
  • Mature decision-making process: gathers and circulates data, weighs alternatives, considers risks, makes tough decisions and trade-offs.
  • Navigates uncertainty, provides direction and frameworks to minimize delays, manages stress during transitions, and helps others adapt.
  • Sponsors and mentors people from diverse backgrounds; fosters inclusion, belonging, and applies understanding of differences to create value.
  • Demonstrated comfort and curiosity working with AI tools in a marketing context; proactive in exploring how emerging technologies improve output, performance, and workflows.
  • Ability to coach and inspire a team to embrace AI as a collaborative partner, fostering continuous experimentation and innovation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, a related field, or equivalent experience.
