Responsibilities
- Own advanced analytics for domain datasets, working with large and complex data sets to solve challenging problems using various analytical and statistical approaches.
- Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, forecasting, and data presentation to identify trends and patterns informing decision-making.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Data and Analytical Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights.
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments (including causal methods when RCTs unavailable) to measure feature impact and guide product iterations.
- Design and build metrics and dimensions to monitor product and business performance.
- Build sophisticated reporting and analytical tools to empower stakeholders in data-driven decisions.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership, clearly and concisely.
- Stay current with latest industry trends and advancements in quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques.
- Leverage AI to automate repetitive tasks and empower stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of industry experience with a degree (Masters or PhD preferred) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or Operations Research.
- Deep expertise in product analytics or data science role; experience with promotions or customer acquisition initiatives is a major plus.
- Strong expertise in at least one programming language (Python or R) and SQL.
- Experience with AI-assisted analytics (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.).
- Experience in analysis of A/B experiments and statistical data analysis.
- Experience designing and building metrics, from conception to building prototypes with data pipelines.
- Prior experience in advanced analytics or business data science within a marketplace or business strategy setting is highly desirable.
- Exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and ability to make informed judgments.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders and conveying complex concepts accessibly.
- Proven stakeholder management skills with ability to collaborate and influence across functions independently.
- Agile, growth-minded approach with history of driving projects from ideation to impact.
Compensation
- Base pay range: $180,000–$221,000 USD.
- This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
