Forward Deployed Engineer leads technical deployments and implementations of API tooling for key customer accounts, partnering closely with clients to iterate product improvements. Requires 6-8+ years backend/API experience, high autonomy, and customer empathy.

Responsibilities
- Own hands-on, technical deployment of Speakeasy within key accounts, working autonomously to ensure successful implementations.
- Serve as a critical technical partner for customers.
- Iterate core product, driving and implementing improvements hand-in-hand with customers to achieve their goals.
- Manage multiple customer relationships and competing priorities.
- Use customer learnings to influence product roadmap and docs for constant improvement.
Requirements
- Significant back-end / API engineering experience (at least 6-8 years).
- Dive deep into technical details of customers' APIs and SDKs.
- Lead in-depth technical deployments/implementations with customers and partners.
- Previously worked as founding engineer, solutions engineer, or technical founder.
- Exemplary customer empathy to connect customers' goals with Speakeasy.
- High ownership/autonomy: rapidly learn new things, identify high impact areas, drive successful outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $180–250K + equity.
