About the role

Responsibilities

Work Order & Repair Cycle Management

  • Initiate work orders from diagnostics, inspections, and automated alerts.
  • Assign work to technicians based on skill, workload, and depot priorities.
  • Close completed repairs after verifying labor, parts, and Complaint, Cause, Correction documentation in the fleet management system.
  • Track vehicle downtime against SLAs and escalate stalled repairs, including parts delays and diagnostic challenges.
  • Review technician time against standard repair times to identify training needs.
  • Communicate repair priorities, parts availability, and work order status between operations and maintenance teams.

Inventory & Parts Management

  • Manage on-site inventory of AV components, consumables, and spare parts.
  • Execute receipts, consumption, cycle counts, and discrepancy reconciliation through SAP and partner inventory systems, maintaining 99%+ accuracy.
  • Track parts deliveries and expedite critical orders to prevent downtime.
  • Pre-kit parts for scheduled work orders and manage inbound freight intake.
  • Allocate parts to active work orders and accurately track consumption to the correct vehicle or work order for billing and warranty purposes.

Security & Quality Compliance

  • Maintain strict chain of custody and secure, limited-access storage for proprietary AV hardware and other high-value components.
  • Maintain quarantine areas for nonconforming parts.
  • Verify inbound shipments against documentation and report overages, shortages, and damage within 24 hours.
  • Maintain audit-ready repair order and inventory records while following partner service, inventory, and hardware transaction SOPs.

Systems, Reporting & Coordination

  • Log parts consumption and serial-number tracking in fleet management systems for full lifecycle traceability.
  • Generate inventory and service reports and analyze consumption and cycle-time trends to optimize stock levels, throughput, and carrying costs.
  • Lead daily pass-down meetings and maintain handover documentation covering work in progress, down vehicles, and safety campaigns.
  • Provide on-call mobile support for off-hours crews, travel between depot, warehouse, and third-party sites as needed, and coordinate with parts suppliers and repair vendors.

Safety & Physical Requirements

  • Handle hazardous materials and waste streams according to EHS/NFPA standards.
  • Use required PPE and safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks according to material-handling and pedestrian-safety protocols.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and maneuver automotive components weighing 100+ lbs using pallet jacks, team lifts, or other equipment.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Obtain and maintain OSHA-compliant sit-down/stand-up forklift certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Work various shifts and provide on-call support during nights and weekends as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience with Shop Management Systems or Fleet Management Systems and ERP systems, including estimates, work in progress, inventory transactions, cycle counting, and reporting.
  • SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing high-value or sensitive inventory with strict security requirements.
  • Proven ability to maintain fleet availability and 98%+ inventory accuracy while meeting repair cycle-time SLAs.
  • Familiarity with automotive parts nomenclature, identification, and handling procedures preferred.
  • Proficiency with mobile devices and inventory scanning equipment.
  • Basic Microsoft Office or Google Workspace skills for reporting.
  • Understanding of FIFO, cycle counting, and ABC analysis.
