Responsibilities
- Build an AI harness to automatically resolve bugs reported for the Notion app.
- Improve CI and build reliability so engineers receive early feedback when changes break CI, with a goal of five-minute CI times.
- Improve developer features for in-house, AI-first remote development environments.
- Execute a shared roadmap with the US engineering team to increase developer satisfaction and enablement, informed by Developer Experience surveys.
- Collaborate with engineers across the company to improve developer experience through tools such as the TypeScript language server, lint tooling, and the Notion CLI.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with strong software engineering fundamentals and a track record of turning ambiguous goals into well-scoped, shippable milestones.
- Ability to create technical roadmaps and plan and execute large projects.
- Demonstrated innovation and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and solve business problems through technology.
- Strong ownership and accountability for project and team success.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across functions, engineering teams, and time zones.
- Experience building or operating developer tooling, including CI/CD, infrastructure workflows, or internal platforms, with a focus on reliability, observability, and developer trust.
- Ability to create and harden AI agents by defining guardrails, adding evaluation and testing, and iterating based on workflow feedback.
- Familiarity with agentic workflows, including code-based orchestration trade-offs, cost analysis, scalability, long-running workflows, and verification loops.
- Systems-level debugging and performance-oriented thinking, including identifying bottlenecks and choosing pragmatic fixes.
- Clear written communication, high-quality code reviews, and coaching or mentoring skills.

- Knowledge of building AI harnesses, including tool building and context harnesses.
Work Arrangement
- Based in Hyderabad, India.
- In-office work on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
