Senior Analyst, Global Expansion Strategy

The Senior Analyst will shape Lyft’s global expansion strategy by sizing international opportunities, evaluating competitive and regulatory landscapes, and defining product and business roadmaps. The role requires 6+ years of strategic analytics or consulting experience, strong cross-functional influence, and advanced SQL and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Use data and rigorous analytical thinking to shape products and business decisions.
  • Perform product deep dives, identify opportunities for product enhancements, and measure the impact of new features.
  • Help define Lyft’s strategy for where and how it expands globally.
  • Size international expansion opportunities and scope the unique products required for new markets.
  • Develop strategic roadmaps for international growth, premium and livery offerings, and autonomous-vehicle marketplace expansion.
  • Analyze the impact of global expansion on North American rideshare users.
  • Assess competitive landscapes in potential future geographies and inform growth strategy.
  • Partner with engineering, product management, design, and central marketplace teams.
  • Lead high-visibility, cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders.
  • Present recommendations and data-driven insights to senior leaders and technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Build decision-making frameworks, analyze large datasets, synthesize inputs, and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Manage, influence, negotiate, and inspire others in a fast-moving and ambiguous environment.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in management consulting, strategic data science or analytics roles in a technology company, or an equivalent analytical role at a high-growth startup.
  • Experience leading high-visibility projects and influencing others in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience communicating with and presenting to senior leaders.
  • Strong business acumen, understanding of marketplace dynamics, and strategic understanding of regulatory landscapes.
  • Ability to break down large datasets and synthesize inputs from multiple sources.
  • Ability to think strategically about complex and unstructured business problems and develop recommendations and action plans.
  • Strong data storytelling, written communication, verbal communication, organization, planning, and attention to detail.
  • Strong product and user experience sense.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who takes ownership and drives results.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base pay range in the Toronto area: CAD $129,000–$161,250.
  • Potential equity offering, bonus, and benefits may also be provided.
