Responsibilities
Own the entire sales lifecycle, from lead generation to close.
Drive revenue through outbound prospecting into private equity firms and PE-backed portfolio companies.
Understand customer needs and requirements; act as a trusted business advisor to C-suite leaders and private equity investors.
Communicate the business impact of Carta's product offerings to key decision makers.
Develop a comprehensive sales strategy that ensures consistent achievement of goals over the short and long term.
Own customer relationships and serve as their advocate within Carta.
Stay current on the private equity industry and bring the customer's voice into product and strategy conversations.
Evangelize Carta's platform to private equity firms and their portfolio companies.
Close new accounts while building relationships with sophisticated partners in the private equity space.
Requirements
4–7+ years of experience in a quota-carrying sales role, with consistent achievement of quota.
Experience selling into financial services or private equity firms, with the ability to speak their language and understand their pain points.
Ability to build and execute a sales strategy using a solution-based selling approach.
Experience with consultative selling techniques to uncover opportunities for evolving products and services.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively cross-functionally and across all levels of an organization.
Demonstrated ability to influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus-building.
Proven track record of self-driven outbound prospecting and close collaboration with SDRs.
Genuine interest in M&A, private equity, and private markets.
Compensation and Benefits
$205k OTE ($49.28/hour)–$235k OTE in New York City, NY and San Francisco, CA.
