Responsibilities

  • Serve as a cloud security subject matter expert, providing guidance on industry best practices and defense-in-depth strategies.
  • Deploy security controls across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure in a multi-cloud environment.
  • Create security and operational controls that enforce organizational security policies.
  • Partner with functional teams and stakeholders to resolve security-related configuration issues.
  • Perform technical risk assessments for new technologies and validate secure architecture designs.
  • Assess and measure the impact of security deficiencies and communicate risks to stakeholders.
  • Identify issues proactively and recommend configuration settings or solutions to mitigate security deficiencies.
  • Develop and operationalize vulnerability management programs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience implementing security solutions.
  • Strong cybersecurity knowledge, including cyber threat vectors and countermeasures.
  • Understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows platforms.
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure and cloud security.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, network domains, communication protocols, and their impact on network and host security.
  • Experience with security technologies including antivirus and antimalware, SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability scanning, DLP, firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
  • Strong scripting and infrastructure-as-code experience.
  • Experience with SOC 1/SOC 2, HITRUST, and ISO frameworks.
  • Understanding of audit methodologies and processes.
  • Experience working with virtual teams in a global environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, partnership, and leadership skills.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with container-based architectures.
  • Security or cloud certifications.

Compensation

  • Overall market range: $122,000–$180,000 USD.
