About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design highly scalable, mission-critical brokerage systems.
  • Develop and enhance middle- and back-office systems, including gRPC microservices, React-based user interfaces for internal administration and API developers, and third-party vendor integrations.
  • Work with core teams to enhance the framework for multiple languages, currencies, and markets.
  • Collaborate with technology leads across regions using synchronous and asynchronous communication.
  • Troubleshoot incidents and bugs to maintain system integrity and performance.
  • Navigate regulatory requirements and build scalable solutions supporting international growth.
  • Serve as operational reliability and engineering lead and act as incident commander during regional business hours.
  • Participate in on-call support for engineering projects.
  • Support regional recruitment initiatives, cross-functional projects, mentoring, and engineering culture.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Proficiency in Go or similar backend languages and robust system architecture.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with global teams, regulators, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and troubleshoot incidents and bugs.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals and software engineering architecture experience.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote, globally distributed environment.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate technical concepts into business strategies.
  • Experience with event-driven design.

  • Experience with AI tooling such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex.

  • Experience with online trading systems, including order management, execution, market data processing, and real-time trade processing.
  • Experience building scalable, high-availability financial applications handling multi-currency transactions.
  • Experience with financial APIs, market data integrations, and trade settlement processes.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in financial markets.
