Responsibilities
- Own, plan, and optimize the AI behind enterprise customers’ deepest technical problems.
- Leverage the Scale Generative Platform to build advanced AI agents, including multimodal functionality and tool calling.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Meet regularly with customer teams onsite and virtually, collaborating cross-functionally with teams responsible for their data and machine-learning needs.
- Push production code in multiple development environments, writing and debugging code in both customer and Scale codebases.
- Multitask and learn new technologies quickly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, another quantitative field, or equivalent strong engineering background.
- Strong engineering background.
- Data-driven approach to iterating on machine-learning models and understanding how dataset changes influence model results.
- Experience with cloud technology stacks such as AWS or GCP and developing machine-learning models in a cloud environment.
- Proficiency in Python, including writing, testing, and debugging code with common libraries such as NumPy and pandas.
Nice-to-haves
- Strong knowledge of software-engineering best practices.
- Experience building production applications using generative AI.
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art large language models and their strengths and weaknesses.
