Responsibilities
- Develop computational procedures (operators) that reliably improve knowledge states over thousands of iterations.
- Design and test improvement operators that maintain stability over 1000+ iterations while making genuine progress.
- Start with simple cases (e.g., shallow refactoring of scientific papers) and scale to complex reasoning tasks.
Requirements
- Experience with LLMs.
- Good intuitions about systematic and verifiable reasoning.
- Care about AI transparency.
- Strong software engineering background preferred.
- Concrete examples of novel abstractions for automated reasoning preferred.
Compensation
- $12-15k/month for 3-month contract (approximately $144,000 - $180,000 annualized).
