Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI models on clinical tasks using automated benchmarks and human assessments to ensure safety and efficacy.
- Write research papers and communicate findings to the team and broader research community.
- Build end-to-end health-focused AI models, including pre-training and post-training workflows for clinical environments.
- Develop agentic systems for patients and physicians.
- Create prototypes and run simulations to validate hypotheses and refine research methodologies.
- Share research trends and practices across teams and help strengthen the research culture.
- Collaborate with clinical and engineering teams on problems spanning machine learning, natural language processing, and agentic systems.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of coding experience in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or R.
- 2+ years of experience owning and initiating research agendas.
- Experience with agentic generative AI systems, large language models, and evaluation methodologies.
- Publications in top-tier AI/ML conferences or journals, such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, or CVPR.
- Prior healthcare research experience or experience working with clinical data.
- Familiarity with healthcare data formats, including FHIR and OMOP.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $165,000–$220,000 annually, plus equity.
