Responsibilities
- Embedded development, programming and working with embedded developers
- Defining and designing communications systems such as CAN (J1939, CANOpen), SPI, I2C, USB, and RS-232
- Working with others to develop and design the overall electrical architecture
- Working with others to integrate electronics into vehicles
- Design of safety critical system elements
- Verification and Validation of electrical systems
- Work with suppliers and drive the implementation of development into production
- PCB layout, schematic design
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Passionate about self-driving vehicles
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with electrical drawings and parts management
- Experience with prototyping of boards
Preferred
- 10+ years of work experience
- Experience with actuators and sensors of varying types
- Experience with safety critical design work
- Robotics/autonomous experience is a plus
- Experience with Verification and Validation processes
