Responsibilities
- Improve release integrity through CI/CD automation and validation processes that increase deployment confidence.
- Instrument quality-health metrics and dashboards for visibility into product stability, release readiness, and test effectiveness.
- Build internal tools and developer utilities that improve testability, observability, and developer experience.
- Partner with quality engineering, SRE, customer relations, product, engineering, and infrastructure teams on system-level quality improvements.
- Advocate for automation-first and shift-left quality practices.
- Use data and experimentation to refine quality processes and prioritize impactful improvements.
- Develop quality measures aligned with the organization’s quality strategy, with emphasis on monitoring and observability.
Requirements
- Understanding of modern quality engineering practices and the judgment to apply them pragmatically.
- Strong foundation in release management, automation frameworks, and CI/CD systems.
- 2+ years building and maintaining integration and end-to-end test automation for complex applications.
- Experience with modern programming languages such as C++, C#, GDScript, or Python.
- Experience applying shift-left quality practices to improve code quality, deployment confidence, and developer velocity.
- Hands-on experience with performance, resilience, and security testing, including integrating checks into CI/CD pipelines and observability systems.
- Experience building internal tools or developer utilities that enhance testability, observability, and release integrity.
- Strong understanding of API quality, including contract validation and dependency testing in distributed systems.
- Ability to promote quality ownership and best practices across teams.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience building or maintaining declarative CI/CD pipelines, such as Azure Pipelines or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with visual regression testing, performance tools such as k6, JMeter, or Artillery, and distributed-system fault injection.
- Containerization and orchestration experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Kibana, or Prometheus.
