Responsibilities
- Lead the ML Research function, owning delivery, quality, performance, and roadmap execution.
- Build and scale a global, high-performing team focused on initiative ownership and ML excellence.
- Partner with Fortune 100 customers and the GTM team to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and delivery teams to advance cutting-edge research.
- Shape the long-term vision and organizational design of the ML Research team in alignment with business growth and product evolution.
- Manage and mentor senior ML Research leaders while fostering accountability, speed, and results.
- Make rigorous technical and business tradeoffs informed by financial and operational considerations.
- Represent ML Research in cross-functional planning, including headcount, budget, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong track record leading ML Research teams in high-growth environments, ideally involving ML, infrastructure, or complex systems.
- Experience scaling research organizations across geographies and structuring teams effectively.
- Ability to distill priorities and move teams from ambiguity to execution with urgency and clarity.
- Experience partnering with sales, delivery, and customer success teams.
- Comfort operating both at a detailed technical level and at the executive level.
- Credibility and curiosity in product engineering, infrastructure, or AI agent systems.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $453,600–$567,000 USD for full-time positions in San Francisco, New York, and Seattle.
- Compensation may include base salary, equity, and benefits; the final offer depends on location, skills, experience, qualifications, interview performance, and education or training.
- Benefits include comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage; retirement benefits; a learning and development stipend; generous PTO; and potentially a commuter stipend.
