About the role
People Management
Run the interview process and execute onboarding for new hires, collaborating with L&D team to develop processes and grading rubrics.
Lead and manage a team of ~20 operators, providing feedback, guidance, ensuring training and competency, and offering coaching/mentoring.
Conduct performance reviews based on evaluation metrics; collaborate with stakeholders to update metrics as needed.
Execution Management
Handle Start of Shift and End of Shift activities including operator attendance, software burns, data importing, and preparation (keys, disks, etc.).
Collaborate with planning team to ensure operators are trained for new feature rollouts.
Work with planning team on weekly goals, allocation strategy, and provide periodic visibility on operator availability.
Respond to operator and onsite incidents per established procedures.
Review plan vs. actual team performance weekly to identify deviations and action items.
Manage cross-functional continuous improvement processes and projects to enhance efficiency and throughput.
Engage with peers in other locations to share best practices and drive standardization.
Requirements
2+ years experience managing teams of 10+ direct reports (hiring, performance management, coaching, mentoring) or equivalent relevant experience.
Understanding of US Labor laws, Employment laws, and Driving laws.
Strong problem-solving skills with initiative to resolve issues independently.
Comfortable reviewing data; exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with willingness to help where needed.
Friendly, positive attitude with eagerness to learn and grow.
Excitement about robots, AI, and robotics development.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, evenings, and weekends.
