Senior Counsel, Real Estate
Senior counsel will lead legal strategy and negotiations for real estate transactions supporting Fluidstack’s data center buildout. The role requires an actively licensed attorney with deep experience in complex real estate development matters, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to manage counsel and cross-functional deals.

Responsibilities
- Structure, draft, and negotiate real estate transactions supporting data center development, including:
- Purchase and sale agreements
- Build-to-suit and ground leases
- Real estate financing
- Tax incentives
- Title review and insurance
- Zoning and land use
- Easements
- Environmental matters
- Restrictive covenants
- Build a scalable library of real estate form agreements.
- Establish and manage a network of local counsel across markets.
- Lead complex negotiations with sophisticated counterparties while balancing legal risk and business speed.
- Manage outside counsel across disciplines, including scope, quality, and spend.
- Coordinate transactions with site selection, development, finance, and delivery teams.
- Advise business leaders on legal and commercial issues and provide actionable solutions.
Requirements
- Active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction and ability to satisfy admission requirements where practicing.
- Experience independently structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial agreements as lead attorney.
- Significant experience directly relevant to data center real estate development, including land acquisition and disposition, build-to-suit and ground leasing, real estate finance, zoning and land use, construction, title, and insurance.
- Demonstrated sound, commercially pragmatic judgment in ambiguous, high-stakes situations.
- Experience overseeing outside counsel across multiple disciplines and managing scope, quality, and spend.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex legal issues into decisions and next steps for executives and counterparties.

Compensation
- Annual salary range: $325,000–$450,000.
