About the role

What you’ll do

  • Architect and implement real-time voice solutions for authentication, fraud prevention, and deepfake detection products.
  • Integrate and optimize voice network systems—including SIP, VoIP, telephony hardware/software, and cloud-based voice services—for reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Collaborate closely across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to deliver seamless voice-driven features.
  • Design and maintain robust enterprise and carrier-grade voice infrastructure supporting high-security, high-availability environments.
  • Deliver architectural improvements, optimizing for performance and onboarding new platforms or vendors.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging threats in voice security and develop strategies to address them.
  • Use workflow automation engines, monitoring, and deployment tools to enhance system resilience and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex voice and networking technical issues.
  • Contribute to cross-team technical reviews and best practice dissemination.

Your skill set

  • Deep understanding of voice and data networking technologies (SIP, VoIP, PBX, IVR, SBC telephony platforms, AWS routing).
  • Experience architecting, implementing, and scaling cloud-native voice infrastructures on AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Skilled at deploying, automating, and monitoring voice platforms for reliability and performance in high-security environments (Python, Ansible, Terraform, GitHub).
  • Inclusive communicator who collaborates effectively with engineering teams, product managers, and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide mentorship, participate in technical reviews, and foster a company-wide culture of excellence.
  • 5+ years in voice engineering or related fields; advanced degree or industry certifications a plus.

Within 30/60/90 days

  • Within 30 days: Ramp up on Pindrop’s voice authentication, fraud prevention, and deepfake detection platforms; complete product and security overview; build relationships with teams; review existing voice infrastructure (SIP, VoIP, PBX, IVR, cloud voice); shadow and assist in troubleshooting.
  • Within 60 days: Drive initial architectural improvements; lead integration or enhancement of a voice network component; contribute to technical reviews; share best practices; own platform monitoring and workflow automation.
  • Within 90 days: Deliver strategic architectural upgrade, onboard new voice platform/vendor, or implement security-focused feature; address emerging threats; demonstrate measurable impact on performance, reliability, or customer experience.
