The Sr. IT Systems Engineer leads IT engineering projects, governs cloud and enterprise systems, and drives internal AI automation. The role requires 8+ years of IT experience, systems engineering expertise, and proficiency across cloud, endpoint, SaaS, IAM, and automation technologies.

Responsibilities
- Run IT engineering and implementation projects across cloud platforms, AI platforms, endpoint management, Google Workspace, networking, observability, Okta, SASE, and server platforms.
- Serve as the internal expert on AI platforms, designing and building agents, automations, and workflows with teams across the business.
- Train users as AI platforms evolve and help nontechnical colleagues apply AI to business problems.
- Mentor team members and share best practices and lessons learned.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes through continuous improvement.
- Support IT service management activities involving incidents, service requests, changes, assets, and knowledge management.
- Resolve escalated support issues.
- Partner with stakeholders on cross-functional operational improvement initiatives as an IT technical resource.
Requirements
- 8+ years of IT experience, preferably including user support experience.
- 4+ years of systems administration or systems engineering experience.
- Proficiency managing macOS environments and SaaS applications.
- Understanding of IT Service Management and Identity and Access Management fundamentals.
- Engineering proficiency in several relevant technologies, such as cloud platforms, endpoint management, Google Workspace, networking, observability, Okta, SASE, scripting, Terraform, and Windows Server.
- Hands-on experience with AI tooling, including building agents or automations and writing effective prompts.
- Experience gathering and analyzing requirements while considering customer needs and business impacts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ownership and follow-through.
- High-touch customer service skills and an outward mindset.
- Willingness to learn, grow, and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
