Responsibilities
Own the post-hire People function, including performance, compensation, culture, learning and development, and HR operations.
Partner with the CEO and Head of Talent while Talent Acquisition remains a separate function.
Build the People function from scratch at a high-growth technology company.
Meet with leadership, managers, and employees; audit existing programs, systems, and compliance.
Establish an operating rhythm with the CEO and Head of Talent.
Deliver a diagnosis of the People function and a prioritized 12-month roadmap.
Launch quick wins and establish baseline people metrics for the executive team.
Launch a major program such as a performance cycle or compensation bands.
Develop managers and serve as a trusted thought partner to leadership.
Handle employee relations, performance management, managing out, and restructures.
Build and defend people metrics with the executive team.
Remain hands-on while building the team.
Requirements
8+ years of experience in People or HR.
Experience leading the People function at a high-growth technology company.
Demonstrated ability to create performance, compensation, and culture programs from scratch.
Strong judgment and a direct, kind, and decisive approach to difficult employee matters.
Data-driven approach to people metrics.
