Responsibilities
- Build the analyst-facing UI for Kepler's AI research platform, including source explorer for tracing values to document origins, real-time agent work interfaces, financial statement views resembling native spreadsheets with fast rendering and keyboard navigation, and streaming interfaces for long-running research queries.
- Own features end-to-end from rough mocks to polished, production interfaces.
- Extend the platform to new industries and lead new architecture as infrastructure scales.
- Collaborate closely with the team in an office setting, using AI tools like Cursor and Claude Code.
- Handle unglamorous problems such as regressions, subtle bugs, and last-minute debugging.
- Participate in weekly 1:1s, architectural reviews, and growth toward technical leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years building production software.
- Expert in TypeScript/React with deep browser knowledge to optimize interface performance.
- Experience building data-dense interfaces (tables, charts, long documents, live-updating views) that remain fast.
- Strong product taste: attention to interaction details, ability to refine rough mocks into polished UIs.
- Comfortable navigating unfamiliar codebases, moving between component libraries and APIs.
- Focus on correctness, failure modes, and systems thinking.
- Strong personal traits: ownership, communication, low ego, adaptability to rapid changes, preference for fixing issues directly.
- Alignment with building foundational AI-finance technology impacting critical decisions.

- Experience in finance or high-stakes domains.
