Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of the Core team's domain and technology stack, seeking guidance to grow technical expertise.
- Handle small-to-medium features with support from senior engineers and complete tasks according to timelines.
- Write code according to established standards and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and implement solutions.
- Build reliable, maintainable software components with a focus on quality.
- Use version control systems to manage code changes and maintain a consistent development workflow.
- Participate in team meetings and sprint ceremonies, including stand-ups and retrospectives.
- Engage in learning activities, game days, and training sessions.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues with guidance.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders on larger projects.
- Own the team's delivery pipeline, continuously optimizing code quality, testing standards, and deployment practices.
- Use Claude Code and GitHub Copilot extensively in daily development and participate in AI coding-agent training.
- Participate in on-call duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1.5 years of experience in a software engineering role.
- Proficiency in C#/.NET and familiarity with programming constructs and design patterns.
- Basic understanding of version control tools such as GitHub.
- Familiarity with unit testing and test-driven development frameworks such as NUnit and Jest.
- Basic understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
- Experience with development collaboration platforms such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
