About the role
Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end stock loan lifecycle, including trade capture and confirmation, daily mark-to-market, rate resets, and contractual settlement.
Own the return, recall, and buy-in process, including monitoring open loans, processing early returns, and managing recall timelines in line with settlement cut-offs.
Oversee corporate action processing across the securities finance book, including dividend entitlements, manufactured payments, and rights and spin-off events.
Input into CCP and exchange margin requirements.
Oversee operational KPIs, reconciliations, and margin calls.
Perform and supervise daily position and cash reconciliations between internal systems, prime brokers, custodians, tri-party agents, and CCPs.
Align with the Settlement team to manage fails risk.
Monitor and actively manage securities lending fails, including buy-in exposure, partial settlement, and borrower/lender close-out procedures.
Provide client and business stakeholder communication and service as a key contact for Equity Finance operations.
Support onboarding while ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Liaise with Revenue Finance to ensure accurate accruals, fee capture, and rebate/fee reconciliations.
Requirements
At least two years of professional experience in a securities lending operations function.
Hands-on experience in securities lending or stock loan operations, including loan booking, term loan management, and equity and fixed-income borrow/loan settlement.
Experience building and documenting operational processes and working with settlement, clearing, risk, and margin functions.
Deep cross-asset knowledge spanning fixed income and equities.
Familiarity with securities lending platforms such as Loanet, EquiLend, 4sight/FIS, or Broadridge SecFinance.
Strong understanding of MSLAs, GMSLAs, and contractual mechanics including right of substitution, manufactured payments, close-out netting, and events of default.
Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to securities financing transactions, including SFTR reporting obligations and CSDR settlement discipline.
Ability to partner with Equity Finance Trading to optimize inventory.
Experience processing corporate actions in lending and borrowing contexts, including entitlement claims, manufactured dividend calculations, and record-date management.
Confident communication and relationship-building skills with clients, counterparties, and internal stakeholders.
Analytical approach and strong attention to detail.

Base salary range: $100,000–$150,000.
