Responsibilities
- Apply advanced Generative AI, including large language models (LLMs) and Agentic AI, to solve complex organizational challenges.
- Partner with and influence Operations and Compliance organizations.
- Build and manage engineering teams in the Compliance domain, guiding development of features, services, and infrastructure.
- Plan, design, develop, and test software systems and applications, including cloud-based and internet-related tools.
- Design scalable systems using modern cloud technology and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to create quarterly product and technical roadmaps.
- Coach team members on design principles, coding standards, and AI productivity tool adoption.
- Review security, scalability, and architectural integrity across feature designs.
- Hire, train, and grow high-performing teams focused on AI/ML solutions.
- Lead multiple engineering initiatives while maintaining high service quality.
- Establish processes that improve engineering quality, AI adoption, and delivery impact.
- Guide architectural decisions and foster high-quality code and engineering practices.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to deliver and operate multi-tenant, distributed systems at scale.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of software engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of engineering management experience.
- At least 2 years of experience managing managers.
- Strong understanding of high-quality code and software engineering processes.
- Execution-focused with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Ability to balance long-term thinking with short-term planning.
- Experience creating, delivering, and operating multi-tenant, distributed systems at scale.
- Willingness to remain hands-on when needed, including writing or reviewing code and technical documents, participating in on-call rotations, leading incidents, and troubleshooting bugs.
- Passion for building an open financial system.
Nice to Have
- Experience bringing LLM-based applications to production.
- Experience measuring and improving LLM grounding against a corpus and reducing hallucinations.
- Experience in Customer Support Compliance or Financial Crimes domains.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary range, excluding equity and bonus: $253,895–$298,700 USD.
- Total compensation may include equity and bonus eligibility.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
