Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end design, from research and information architecture through high-fidelity visual design and occasional implementation.
- Create polished, trustworthy interfaces for AI-powered code review and complex code analysis.
- Define interaction patterns, micro-interactions, and motion for real-time review, conversational feedback, and agentic workflows.
- Build and maintain a scalable design system across web, IDE extensions, Git platforms, and CLI surfaces.
- Design visualizations and information architecture for code quality metrics, dependency graphs, and AI-generated insights.
- Partner with engineering, product, and AI teams on product vision, strategy, roadmap, and delivery.
- Prototype rapidly to communicate concepts and explore emerging AI capabilities.
- Establish design best practices and raise quality and consistency across product flows.
Requirements
- 2–5+ years of product design experience.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating polished UI craftsmanship and innovative interaction design.
- Proven experience shipping complex technical products end-to-end in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Experience creating and maintaining scalable design systems across multiple platforms.
- Exceptional visual and interaction design skills, including typography, layout, color, hierarchy, and motion.
- Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Comfort prototyping with front-end code, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience at developer-focused companies.
- Background in or strong understanding of software development and Git workflows.
- Experience designing IDE extensions, AI/ML-powered interfaces, motion design, or micro-interactions.
- Contributions to open-source design systems.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range of $175,000–$250,000, plus meaningful equity and benefits.
