Staff Fullstack Engineer, User Auth Experience

Responsibilities

• Build beautiful web experiences and secure full-stack authentication machinery impacting millions of users.
• Make effective tradeoffs across business priorities, user experience, and sustainable technical foundations.
• Drive sound technical decisions and lead technical conversations with teams across the organization.
• Shape the team’s culture, roadmap, and vision through guidance, mentorship, foresight, and technical expertise.
• Assist with the growth and development of the engineering team and organization while maintaining a high bar for excellence and technical curiosity.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in full-time software development roles.
• Experience serving as a technical lead by guiding a team, influencing its roadmap, and overseeing complex, cross-functional projects.
• Experience across both frontend and backend development, with strong generalist full-stack ability.
• Ability to collaborate with other teams to identify high-impact solutions and solve problems quickly.
• Excellent oral and written communication.

Nice-to-haves

• Preference for simple, scalable solutions and designs, with strong intuition for long-term maintainability.
• Expertise at the intersection of security and authentication systems, including partnerships with Security and Fraud teams.
• Strong understanding of IAM concepts, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and identity governance.
• Experience building scalable, resilient, and observable systems alongside strong frontend UX practices.
• Ability to understand user needs and incorporate them into broader product and technical goals.
• Experience integrating unfamiliar services and processes.
• Experience building software for fellow developers.
