Senior Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a smooth, consistent developer experience for product and AI teams through self-service tools and streamlined development processes.
• Design and implement infrastructure for complex, time-critical microservices and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with AI, data, and product teams to maintain high-quality code and developer velocity.
• Improve backend infrastructure scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies, including generative AI, to enhance platform capabilities.
• Troubleshoot complex issues affecting platform performance and availability.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD practices and processes across hybrid environments.
• Support architecture best practices and system scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Mentor and advise team members on code review, performance, and scalability.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend or platform engineering experience.
• Experience as a Platform Engineer or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed-systems principles.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and the ELK stack.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms.
• Strong cloud infrastructure management experience.
• Proficiency in a high-level language such as Python and familiarity with Bash and Linux shell commands.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and learn new technologies.
