Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a smooth, consistent developer experience for product and AI teams through self-service tools and streamlined development processes.
- Design and implement infrastructure for complex, time-critical microservices and distributed systems.
- Collaborate with AI, data, and product teams to maintain high-quality code and developer velocity.
- Improve backend infrastructure scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies, including generative AI, to enhance platform capabilities.
- Troubleshoot complex issues affecting platform performance and availability.
- Establish and maintain CI/CD practices and processes across hybrid environments.
- Support architecture best practices and system scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Mentor and advise team members on code review, performance, and scalability.
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend or platform engineering experience.
- Experience as a Platform Engineer or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed-systems principles.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and the ELK stack.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms.
- Strong cloud infrastructure management experience.
- Proficiency in a high-level language such as Python and familiarity with Bash and Linux shell commands.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and learn new technologies.
