Build and optimize ClickHouse Cloud’s highly available, multi-cloud infrastructure, including automation, distributed systems, networking, security, and cost-efficiency tooling. Responsibilities
- Architect and build robust, scalable, highly available distributed infrastructure.
- Build a cloud-native platform on public cloud providers and automate cloud resource management.
- Execute infrastructure optimization initiatives across compute, storage, and networking.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop high-performance, reliable, and cost-effective SaaS solutions.
- Improve cost efficiency through distributed systems and industry best practices.
- Partner with business stakeholders to design and build tooling that provides cost-efficiency insights.
- Lead and ship large-scope technical projects in collaboration with experienced engineers.
- Apply production debugging, network, security, availability, scalability, and data-governance practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant software development experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Software development experience in Go, C/C++, Java, or another object-oriented language.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience developing cloud infrastructure services, preferably with Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud-native edge or service-mesh services; Envoy and Istio are preferred.
- Understanding of network topologies, protocols, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Knowledge of cloud security practices, including encryption, access controls, SOC 2, and GDPR.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, ownership, and accountability skills.
