Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance backend and frontend services for the Athelas Home medical device product.
- Improve infrastructure and architect robust, scalable backend services.
- Translate product requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure production software systems meet operational, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently to maintain system stability and performance.
- Establish and enforce best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
- Professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Deep expertise developing and managing data pipelines.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational database management systems.
- Advanced knowledge of containerization and cloud services.
- Experience building, scaling, and maintaining sophisticated production environments.
- Advanced skills in system monitoring, alerting, reporting, metrics tracking, and software reliability engineering.
- Product development mindset with focus on user experience and customer needs.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Nice to Have
- Experience or interest in embedded application software for Linux-based IoT medical devices.
- Experience with hardware interfaces such as GPIO, camera control, and serial communication.
- Experience with embedded Linux systems.
- Experience or interest in designing, training, and optimizing computer vision models for blood diagnostics.
- Experience with object detection and classification models.
- Experience across the machine learning lifecycle, including data preparation, model training, deployment, and performance monitoring.
Compensation
- ATS-listed salary range: 40000–50000.
