Own the architecture, reliability, and quality of a Windows desktop product, leading native integrations, performance improvements, and user-experience metrics. The role requires exceptional client-platform depth, architectural judgment, and recent production coding experience.

Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for Windows architecture and native integrations.
- Improve onboarding, text insertion, screen context, and background behavior for performance and reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve difficult performance and correctness failures across devices and applications.
- Define and improve metrics for the Windows user experience, including activation, satisfaction, performance, retention, and support volume.
- Build reusable systems that improve quality across the Windows product.
Requirements
- Experience designing a client system or platform that other engineers successfully built on.
- Recent experience shipping meaningful production code.
- Ability to debug unfamiliar systems from first principles.
- Experience owning and improving user-experience metrics.
- Strong architectural judgment combined with attention to product quality.
- Exceptional client-platform depth.
Nice to have
- Deep Windows experience.
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $270,000–$350,000.
