Software Engineer (Frontend), Core Product Experience

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver frontend features end-to-end across Web, Desktop (Electron), and Mobile.
• Champion user experience from architecture to pixel-level details.
• Partner with Product and Design to shape features, offering technical perspective on feasibility and tradeoffs.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and contribute to frontend best practices, component libraries, and performance standards.
• Tackle complex UI challenges in real-time, multi-player applications with rich text editing and keyboard-driven workflows.
• Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and contribute to collaborative engineering culture.

Requirements

Must Have:

• 5+ years professional experience building complex production web applications focused on frontend engineering.
• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and state management (e.g., Redux).
• Obsess over user experience; ship delightful, polished UX.
• Product mindset: care about 'why' behind features, think user-first.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Should Have:

• Pragmatic problem-solving, valuing shipping over perfection.
• Strong design sensibility (spacing, typography, transitions).
• Experience translating designs into high-fidelity, responsive, accessible UI.

Nice to Have:

• Experience at fast-growing B2B SaaS company or customer support/communication space.
