Senior Software Engineer

What You’ll Do

• Work with Product Managers to understand requirements for new features
• Build features using Java, React, SQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch
• Improve architectural strategy for front-end or backend to meet velocity needs
• Review code from other engineers and submit your own via pull-request process
• Meet with Product Designers to explain technical constraints
• Collaborate with design and product teams to document feature requirements
• Write clear, concise technical documentation
• Test new technologies and discuss improvements to codebase and engineering practices
• Nurture engineering culture focused on code quality and rapid delivery

What You’ll Need

• At least 8 years professional experience using Java and React in production
• Comfortable with agile development and thoroughly testing your own code
• Deep understanding of databases, automated testing, Agile methodologies
• Proficiency building and managing RESTful APIs
• Deep experience designing and building infrastructure for complex cloud-based software (AWS or Azure preferred)
• Knowledge of or prior experience with microservices architecture
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript and its frameworks, HTML, CSS, and interest in new FE technologies
• Knowledge of web architecture concepts including HTTP and REST

Compensation

Target base annual salary range of $155,000-$215,000 plus bonus opportunity, company stock options, and full benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and 401k plan.
