Senior Reporter - Distressed Debt
Senior reporter covering stressed and distressed debt, corporate restructurings, and credit markets. Requires demonstrated experience covering credit and bankruptcy plus strong writing and source-building skills.
Responsibilities
- Break news on stressed and distressed debt borrowers across America
- Work closely with a team of journalists, financial analysts and legal analysts
- Develop and maintain contacts in the credit market as well as with financial advisors, investment bankers, restructuring lawyers, traders and opportunistic investors
- Identify market trends and write timely insightful pieces for a sophisticated readership
- Attend relevant conferences and events
Requirements
- Motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Curiosity about corporate finance, bankruptcy law, and the professionals that drive the processes
- Strong communication skills to collaborate internally and build upon an already expansive source book
- Demonstrated experience covering credit markets and bankruptcy
- Strong writing skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with corporate financial statements
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience covering companies and credits associated with artificial intelligence, software and data centers
Compensation
- Salary range: $140,000 - $180,000
- Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
