About the role

What you'll do

  • Lead the implementation and ongoing optimization of Hometap's third-party workflow systems, ensuring they're configured, adopted, and continuously improved
  • Identify and eliminate process inefficiencies across underwriting and operations workflows, translating pain points into prioritized product opportunities
  • Establish yourself as an internal authority on mortgage tech, fintech, and workflow tooling, staying current on vendors, capabilities, and emerging solutions that could improve underwriting speed and quality
  • Collaborate with Investment Operations and Engineering to design and deliver integrations that reduce manual effort and operational cost
  • Iterate on staff-facing experiences with an empathetic perspective on the day-to-day jobs our staff performs
  • Test and scale each delivery with data analysis, A/B testing, phased rollouts, and user research
  • Build and maintain dashboards to track KPIs, analyze operational performance, and surface actionable insights regularly
  • Communicate process improvement recommendations and ROI to key stakeholders across the organization, including senior leadership
  • Advocate for platform-level changes that empower and facilitate testing of new Homeowner experiences

What you bring

  • 4+ years of product management experience, preferably with both B2B and B2C exposure; strong preference for fintech, proptech, or mortgage origination experience
  • Hands-on familiarity with mortgage origination systems, workflow automation platforms, or related fintech infrastructure
  • A demonstrable history of cost-reducing integrations and process improvements with measurable outcomes
  • Passion for intuitive, pragmatic user experiences, especially for internal tooling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders
  • Experience integrating AI/ML models and automation into production workflow systems, including prompt engineering, API orchestration, and translating business logic into intelligent decision pipelines
  • Comfort with AI based prototyping and rapid solutioning to facilitate alignment and collaboration
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data to make informed decisions; experience with tools like Heap, Tableau, or similar platforms a plus
  • Self-awareness and time management skills to balance multiple projects at once and know when to ask for help

Salary Range: $170,000 - $180,000, depending on experience, skills, location, and other factors. Includes equity, medical/dental/vision coverage, work-from-home stipend, parental leave, and PTO.
