About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop containerized (micro)services for a distributed multi-tenant system that processes data, real-time events, and network telemetry from multiple public clouds to provide real-time insights, visibility, and security recommendations.
- Design services, defend architecture before peers, and deliver rock-solid implementations.
- Mentor junior engineers, new-grads, and interns.
- Own critical features and subsystems through the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment.
- Own operational aspects of the system and code quality with early developer testing, functional/integration testing.
- Partner with Product Management to refine requirements.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent. Master’s a plus.
- Experience: 4+ years building distributed & scalable software and systems.
- Cloud: Extensively used AWS, Azure, or GCP at the API/programming level. Networking and security controls a plus.
- Platform: Kubernetes-based; experience delivering containerized services desired.
- Languages: Experience in Go and SQL. REST API client experience.
- Nice-to-haves: CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible. General TCP/IP networking knowledge. Unix/Linux programming environment experience.
- Passion for software development, constant learning, and team collaboration.
